Comunicato dell\u2019Ambasciata d\u2019Italia in Tirana<\/strong><\/p>\n

L\u2019Ambasciata d\u2019Italia in Tirana si allinea alla dichiarazione odierna della Delegazione europea. E\u2019 di fondamentale importanza che i cittadini possano esercitare regolarmente il loro diritto di voto ed \u00e8 responsabilit\u00e0 delle parti interessate assicurare che le operazioni di voto \u2013 monitorate dalla Missione OSCE\/ODIHR con il coinvolgimento di osservatori di diversi Stati membri dell\u2019Unione europea \u2013 si svolgano senza alcuna forma di ostruzione. Ogni forma di violenza o di incitazione alla violenza non sar\u00e0 accettata in nessuna circostanza. Tutti gli schieramenti politici dovranno dimostrare moderazione ed evitare una retorica provocatoria.<\/p>\n

L\u2019Ambasciata d\u2019Italia richiama l\u2019assoluta importanza del Processo di integrazione europea dell\u2019Albania. Affinch\u00e9 il Paese proceda in questo percorso \u00e8 fondamentale che le parti si impegnino al pi\u00f9 presto in un dialogo aperto e franco per superare l\u2019attuale crisi politica e sostenere le necessarie riforme. In questo contesto l\u2019Ambasciata d\u2019Italia raccomanda a tutti le parti di sostenere la riforma della giustizia e invita le istituzioni e gli organismi interessati a impegnarsi ad accelerare la sua applicazione, con particolare riferimento alla sollecita nomina dei giudici della Corte Costituzionale per garantirne la piena operativit\u00e0. E\u2019 inoltre importante che le parti si impegnino nella riforma elettorale e nel rispetto dello Stato di diritto, incluso il contrasto alla corruzione.<\/p>\n

Statement of the Italian Embassy in Tirana<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Embassy of Italy in Tirana fully aligns itself to the statement issued today by the EU Delegation. It is of the utmost importance that citizens exercising their rights can do so in an orderly fashion, and it is the direct responsibility of all political actors to make sure that the voting operations \u2013 that will be monitored by an international mission led by OSCE\/ODIHR involving observers from several European Union Member States – are not obstructed. Any violent act or any form of incitement to violence are absolutely unacceptable under any circumstances. All political sides need to show restraint and avoid inflammatory rhetoric.<\/p>\n

The Embassy of Italy recalls the paramount importance of the process of EU integration of Albania. In order for the Country to proceed on this path it is necessary that all sides engage in an open and genuine dialogue as soon as possible to overcome the current political situation and to support needed reforms. In this framework the Embassy of Italy urges all sides to support ongoing justice reform and invites all relevant bodies and institutions to speed up its implementation, especially with reference to ensuring swift appointments to make the Constitutional Court fully functional.
